I'm not sure if any of you have been keeping up with Star Craft 2, but it's beta was released a week or two ago. Anyways, another website I go to (http://edgeofnowhere.cc), have been working on cracking StarCraft 2's beta, as well as just releasing the first map hack for the game. This is an extremely big deal, as reverse engineering this software in such a short period of time is just a testimate to the skill of the coders (Sheppard etc...) over at http://www.edgeofnowhere.cc, or also known as www.blizzhackers.cc.
Blizzhackers have been around for about 10 years now. For various legal (they were sued by Blizzard for WoW Server Emulation while WoW was still in beta), and ownership reasons this community has also been known as cheatlist.net, blizzhackers.com, edgeofnowhere.cc. These guys (especially the veterans), have been around for A WHILE and the whole community itself is probably responsible for a lot of my personal computer and programming skills. I've been going there since I was in 9th grade (about 9 years), and they are the community that introduced me to hacking/botting/programming and what eventually led me to create (along with SnakeEyez) this community.
Just a word to the wise. The community is pretty mature (except for a few dickweeds), so screwing around and spamming around there (or asking very stupid questions) will not be tolerated.
This is pretty much only for any high school/college students who are interested to learn more about how computers work... in a hands on way. The learning curve is high, consider it a challenge to get into some of the game hacking content.

Starcraft 2 Hacking

Reverse engineering is quite a task. Though it certainly pays off when your done. As a matter of fact game hacking/modding is really what got me started at programming and hacking as well. Along with John Carmack and John Romero creators of ID Software. Researching things like hacking is a great way to learn how computers operate. A warning though if you(whoever may be reading this) decide to research hacking be careful what sites you go to.
